SQUASH RACKETS PUT TO THE TEST

01-08-13

We invited a guest representative from Sports Direct, Natasha Vineer, to present the findings of a review that she carried out, comparing a selection of Head, Dunlop and Wilson rackets to see which one came out the best.

Squash Racket Review

I have recently been testing the latest squash rackets. I tested Head, Dunlop and Wilson within the two price brackets, expensive and inexpensive.

The rackets-

Dunlop biotec x lite £7.50

Dunlop biomimetic ultimate squash racket £109.99

Head AFT tour squash racket £25.00

Head graphene cyano 115 squash racket £114.99

Wilson slam squash racket £14.00

Wilson pro BLX squash racket £99.99

Each racket was tested by ‘armature’ squash players. They played a serious game with each racket. They were then asked to fill in the questionnaire about each racket.

This shows that the best racket is the Dunlop biomimetic ultimate squash racket £109.99. Because it was the all round best in all the categories. The players preferred this racket over the one they normally us. The found it very light and easy to use. They would recommend it to a friend.

The Dunlop Biomimetic Ultimate Squash Racket is ideal for advanced / intermediate players interested in a head light pro player frame. The Dunlop Biomimetic Ultimate Squash Racket features a dense 16x19 string pattern, with a widened throat and long handle which gives the racket the best feel and control. Its oversized head delivers maximum power. The racket is constructed with graphite and features Dunlop's new Biomimetic technology. HM6 Carbon enhances the racket feel. HM6 is inspired by Honeycomb. Its complex mass of hexagonal cells creates an incredible strong lightweight structure that's up to 95% air to naturally absorb impacts whilst maintaining its shape. HM6 Carbon reduces racket frequency and vibration by up to 10% for the best energy return and feel a racket can give you. Its Aero skin technology reduces the aerodynamic drag, which makes the racket faster through the air. Drag is reduced by up to 25%. Gecko-Tac Grip gives ultimate control in all conditions. Inspired by the pads on the foot of the gecko, the Gecko-Tac grip provides superior levels of grip. The smooth tacky surface is also perforated to wick away excess moisture.

Frame Weight: 132g.

Balance: Head Light.

Head Size: 500cm. sq.
