1970's NIGHT

Remember those old wooden squash rackets from the 1970's? Those small heads, the towelling handles, the red twine in order to flip for serve?

Lilleshall Squash Club went back in time last Thursday to remember those classic days of squash.

Arranged by Garth Tozer, aided and abetted by Helen Bywater with rackets kindly donated by Stuart Walker, 16 intrepid Club members battled it out with those old wooden rackets, tight shorts and the occasional vintage moustache.

I don't think winning was at the top of their agendas, it was all about the taking part and the nostalgic fun.

The results and a few photos below. Thanks to Helen for the photos and our roving reporter Glyn Thomas for the summary.
